Likewise, your mind requires daily cleaning. In the course of everyday life, your mind accumulates all kinds of information and thoughts. Just as it's difficult to see through dirty water, it's hard to see through a clouded mind. Therefore, you have to learn to filter the cloudy mind by cultivating detachment, or learning to let go, through meditation. Research shows that meditation can be helpful in clearing your mind this way. As an example, learning to let go of negative feelings can be difficult but with practice through meditation, it will become easier to let go, leading us to feel at peace with ourselves and our experiences. To start meditating, simply find a place where you can sit and relax. Then, gently observe your thoughts without attaching yourself to them. When you notice your thoughts, accept that you’ve noticed them and then let them go in order to bring your attention back to the present moment and to feel centered. By doing this: Your mental clarity will improve, You will see and understand things more clearly, and You will regain a sense of balance. With daily practice, you will attain both a healthy body and a healthy mind.
